- Removes surface dirt grease and grime as well as softens the pipe and surface to allow a fast secure solvent weld.
- For use in areas where plumbing code calls for verification that a primer be used.
- Cut pipe ends square chamfer and clean pipe ends.
- Check dry-fit of pipe and fitting. Pipe should easily go 1/3 of the way into the fitting. If pipe bottoms it should be snug.
- Use a suitable applicator at least 1/2 the size of the pipe diameter.
- Apply thoroughly to the inside of the fitting socket.
- Apply thoroughly to the outside surface of the pipe to the approximate depth of the fitting.
- Apply a second coat to the fitting socket.
- While primer is still wet use an appropriate solvent cement for the pipe and fitting being joined.
